Wind-up Birds
Revisiting an older illustration. I drew this a long while ago, but now I’m procrastinating in doing something else, and this as good a time as any to spruce up some old pieces. The texture was created with a scanned piece of napkin, the clouds were drawn on the spot and arranged into the image.
The name comes from a Haruki Murakami novel, it seems appropriate for the mechanical birds (other names in consideration include ‘the bird machine’, at the risk of ripping off Jay Ryan…)
