Ghost Cameras

Since cameras were once thought to have been able to steal people’s spirits, these old cameras must have a lot of them just laying around.
I’ve had this one lying around in my head for a while, half because I have a fascination with old cameras–they just look very unique compared to the slick, brushed metal pocket digital cameras today. The other half actually comes from a FAQ I read on cameras a while back, it went something like:
Q: Will my soul be sucked out by the camera when it takes my picture?
A: No, I can personally guarantee this, your soul will be safe.
And that gave me the idea. This was actually completed in a pretty short amount of time for Alternate Press Expo, a local SF comic convention back in April. I have this illustration as a screenprinted print; it’ll also be available as a shirt at Oddica. I’ve bumped up the colors to 3 for the Oddica version, so go check it out! They’ve got a number of other delicious shirts as well.
